Asset Transfers

Manages the physical movement of equipment and consumables between locations, with a draft, in-transit, and received workflow that updates asset locations and inventory stock automatically.

Overview​

The Transfer model links an origin and destination location with a collection of TransferItem records (assets and/or inventory items). The system auto-detects transfer type: same-building moves are "instant" (complete in one step); cross-building moves are "shipments" (requiring ship and receive confirmation). On ship, assets receive "In Transit" status; on receive, they move to the destination and restore "Active" status. Inventory stock adjustments happen atomically with audit logs.
