Notifications

VenueTrack provides a comprehensive notification system delivering alerts via web (in-app) and email across seven categories, with per-user channel preferences and sound controls.

Overview​

Fifteen notification classes span deficiencies, messages, broadcasts, inventory, transfers, schedule, and admin alerts. Each notification respects per-user opt-in/opt-out settings per channel. Broadcasts always deliver via the web channel regardless of user preferences.

Key Features​

  • Notification center at /notifications with All, Unread, and Read filtering plus search.
  • Bell icon badge — An unread count badge appears on the bell icon in the header for at-a-glance awareness.
  • Per-category channel toggles — Users can independently enable or disable web and email delivery for each notification category.
  • Sound preferences — Enable or disable notification sounds, choose from available sounds, and adjust volume.
  • Popup notifications — Optional desktop alert popups can be toggled on or off.
  • Bulk actions — "Mark all as read" clears all unread notifications in one step.
  • Broadcast protection — Broadcast notifications are always delivered and cannot be disabled by users.
