Email Templates

Customize the subject and body of system notification emails with placeholder substitution.

Overview​

EmailTemplate records override default email content per notification type per organization. Fourteen template types cover deficiencies, transfers, inventory, schedule, flags, messages, broadcasts, and system notifications. Templates use placeholder tokens (e.g., {recipient_name}, {severity}) that are substituted at send time. Inactive templates fall back to system defaults.

  • Preview — A preview button renders the template with sample data so you can verify formatting before saving.
  • Deactivation without deletion — Templates can be deactivated to revert to system defaults without losing your customizations.
