Inventory & Consumables

Tracks consumable supplies such as cables, lamps, filters, and tape with per-location stock levels, reorder thresholds, and low-stock alerts.

Overview

InventoryItem stores metadata including name, SKU, unit cost, and reorder threshold. InventoryStock records track quantities at individual locations. When stock at any location drops below the reorder threshold, a LowStockAlert notification fires. Inventory items can also flow through the transfer system alongside individually tracked assets.

This module is designed for AV technicians and warehouse managers who need to track spare parts and consumable supplies across multiple venues.

Key Features

Dashboard

The inventory dashboard provides a high-level summary including:

  • Total number of inventory items
  • Count of items currently at low stock
  • Total inventory value across all locations
  • Category breakdown for quick filtering

Stock Status Filtering

Filter the inventory list by stock status:

  • All — Every inventory item regardless of stock level.
  • Low Stock — Items that have fallen below their reorder threshold.
  • Out of Stock — Items with zero quantity at one or more locations.

Per-Location Stock Adjustments

Stock quantities are managed at the individual location level. Every adjustment is audit-logged, recording who made the change, when, and the quantity delta.

Inventory Groups

Related items can be grouped together for bulk operations. Groups allow warehouse teams to manage sets of consumables — such as all lamp types for a specific fixture — as a single logical unit.

Transfers

The transfer system handles both assets (individually tracked by serial number or tag) and inventory items (tracked by quantity) within the same workflow. A single transfer can move a mix of assets and consumables between locations.
