Floor Plans
Floor Plans associate locations with floor levels within a building or vessel, enabling vertical spatial context.
Data Model
The Floor model links to a root (Level 1) location with a floor number, name, and display order. Venues (Level 2+ locations) are associated with floors via a many-to-many relationship. Each location can reference:
- A primary floor — the main level where the space resides.
- A bottom floor and top floor — for multi-level spaces that span several decks or stories.
Who It's For
Venue managers working in multi-deck vessels or multi-story buildings who need to understand vertical layout — for example, "Grand Theater spans Decks 5–7."
Key Features
- Floor assignments are managed during location creation and editing.
- Multi-floor spans — locations can stretch from a bottom floor to a top floor, accurately representing large venues like theaters and atriums.
- Floor numbers and names (e.g., "Deck 5 - Entertainment") provide additional context within the location hierarchy.
